This is one of the best healthy and nutritious staple food for the people on weight loss journey and tired of eating regular salad and sprouts. I have made for you which is healthy and nutritious. It is very subtle in taste and goes well with any sabzi or just with homemade pickle. 1 or 2 accomplish your full meals without any extra salads. I used sweet potato to make it more healthy, which holds many nutrients within them. Kuttu ka aata is very rich in Magnesium. It is very commonly made when fasting because it is gluten free. We can make it with sweet potato or normal potatoes or with finely chopped onions, green chillies and coriander leaves.I t can be easily rolled with rolling-pin dusting extra flour on it. It doesn’t stick as any other gluten free flours when mixed with potatoes.. Without delay let’s get started making this tasty Kuttu ki Roti.

Ingredients:

Kuttu flour-1½cup
Sweet potato-1Big
Pink Salt -1tsp
Red chilli powder -1tsp
Chat Masala-1tsp
Water-As needed
Ghee-as needed for applying
Preparations:

  • Wash thoroughly sweet potato. Cut into halves and pressure cook for 3 whistles. After releasing pressure, take out the potatoes and remove skin. Set aside.

METHOD:

  1. In a large bowl add peeled sweet potatoes, mash it finely with fork.
    Add salt, red chilli powder, chat masala and kuttu flour.Kuttu Roti
  2. Mix it well till all the potato and masala incorporated we’ll with the flour.
  3. Now, gradually sprinkle water and make into a dough. Rest it for 20 minutes.Kuttu Roti
  4. After 20 minutes, make the dough into small balls(you can make 5 balls with1½cup flour).
  5. Now on a butter paper take one ball of dough dust flour ,spread the ball with your hand as much as you can.
  6. Now slowly press with rolling pin, dusting with flour without sticking.Kuttu Roti
  7. Heat a skillet add rolled roti, cook evenly bothsides on a medium flame.Kuttu Roti
    Remove from heat add ghee as you want. ENJOY!!! with any sabzii.

Tips:

  • Makes 4-5 Rotis.
  • Goes well with any sabzi. Or any homemade pickle.
  • If the dough sticks, try mixing with hot water.
  • You can make this same recipe with any Millet flours.
