Ingredients:
Soji-3cups
Milk-1 liter
Saffron-pinch
Milk powder-3/4th cup
Custard powder-4tsp
Sugar-6Tbsp or as per taste
Condense Milk-1/2 cup(optional)
Dry fruits of your choice-½ cup(Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios)
Cardamom powder-1tsp
Preparations:
- Take a bowl add suji and 250ml milk mix it.
- In another small cup add saffron and some milk , mix it set aside.
- To the suji and mixture add milk powder and custard powder. Mix it and set aside.
- Thinly slice dry fruits and set aside.
METHOD:
- Boil remaining milk in a wide wok, give it a nice boil and reduce the quantity of milk.
- Slowly add above suji and milk mixture , stirring continuously. Boil for another 2 minutes.
- Add sugar and stir well. Add sliced dry fruits. Mix it.
- Finally add cardamom powder and saffron soaked milk. Mix it and switch off the flame.
- Cool it completely and serve chilled Enjoy!!!
Tips:
- Serves 6-7
- Always mix custard powder in separate milk, I find it hard to break the lumps.
- You can make this same recipe, use soaked and grinded rice instead of suji.
