Without any delay let’s start making this tasty and healthy Chickpea Salad
Ingredients:
Chickpeas or Kabuli Chana-1½ Cup
Onions-1 big or 2 medium
Green chillies -1 slit
Tomatoes -2medium
Oil-1Tbsp
Ginger -½inch
Pink salt-a/c taste
Black pepper powder -1tsp
Red chilli powder -1tsp
Coriander powder -1tsp
Cumin powder -1tsp
Garam Masala-1tsp
Boiled Sweet potatato-1 small
Green capsicum -1 mefium
Chat Masala-½tsp
Coriander leaves for garnishing -few
Preparations:
. Wash chickpeas thoroughly and soak overnight . Next day wash with fresh water and boil then with little salt and set aside.
. Finely chop onions, tomatoes, and capsicum. Set aside.
METHOD:
- In a pan heat oil, add onions, slit chillies and finely chopped ginger and saute them for a minute.
- Add chopped onions all powder masalas except chat masala, mix and add little water and sauteed well.
- Add chopped tomatoes, sauteed for a minute. Add boiled Sweet potato chunks mix well.
- Now add boiled chickpeas and mix well on a medium to high flame, till all water (if any) is absorbed.
- Finally add chopped capsicum, mix gently cook for 1 minute.
- Finish it off by adding chat masala and lemon juice. Garnish with lots of coriander leaves. ENJOY!!! with cucumber,/Carrot/Beets.
TIPS-
. Serves 2-3 as a whole meal.
. Goes well with Roti, Paratha, Phulka or as a side dish for rice and daal.
. You can have it wholesome without any rotis. Just with lots of salad, serve as a whole meal for dinner.
