Chicken Malai Tikka in OTG

Few years ago in one restaurant in my home town I tried this recipe, it was tasted like heaven. From that day it was on my menu to make it. I tried many chicken recipes, but trying this Chicken Malai Tikka in OTG was very satisfying for me. This is recipe is very quick to make. Discover the luxurious taste of Chicken Malai Tikka! Ingredients:
For 1st Marination
Chicken Boneless-500grams
Salt-a/c taste
White pepper powder-½tsp
Ginger Garlic paste-2Tbsp
For 2nd Marination
Hung curd-¾cup
Fresh cream-½cup
Almond paste-2Tbsp
Green chilly paste-1tsp
Garam masala-1tsp
Kasuri Methi-1tsp
White pepper powder-¼tsp
Salt-1tsp or as needed
Coriander leaves-1 small bunch finely chopped.
Ghee or butter-3Tbsp
Preparations:
- Wash chicken thoroughly and drain the water completely cut into thin square strips.
- Take a deep tea strainer and add 5Tbsp of curd and leave it for 1hr(or more) to make hung curd.
- Take it mixing bowl and all the ingredients one by one mentioned in 1st marination. Set aside for 15 minutes.
METHOD:
- Take another mixing bowl add all the ingredients one by mentioned in 2nd marination.(Hung curd, Fresh cream, Almond paste, Green chilly paste, Garam masala, Kasuri Methi, White pepper powder, Salt, Coriander leaves. Mix well.
- Add marinated chicken cubes and mix gently.
- Burn charcoal and smoke the marination for 10 minutes by adding 1tsp butter to charcoal.
- Take skewers and skew the chicken cubes one by one with little gap in between.
- Preheat the oven 180°c in baking mode for 10 minutes.
- Place the chicken skewers in tray and apply melted butter on them.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes turning in between the process.
- Your chicken malai tikka is ready to serve . Enjoy with green chutney.
Tips:
- Serves 4-5.
- Served as a party starter.
- You can toast on grill pan as a alternate to oven. But check in between the process, otherwise chicken will become hard and chewy if over cooked.
