How to Make Black Sesame Laddu

Hi! Today I am going to share one of my favorite snack munching, which is healthier and tasty too. After having this you no guilt about munching unnecessary calories. This is 100% gluten free. This is my grandma’s authentic recipe. She gave me this when I hit my puberty. This also helps in regular periods. My grandma always prepare this recipe with black sesame seeds rather using white sesame seeds. She said black is more nutritional than white sesame seeds. Its easy to make and can be stored up 15 days in a air tight container.
Ingredients:
Black Sesame-1 cup
Jaggery- 1cup
Peanuts- ¼ cup
Dry Coconut-¼cup
Rice-½ fist (This is optional, if you want some crunchiness then you can add)
Preparations:
- Clean the sesame seeds with dry cloth. Generally store bought black sesame seeds fine dust.
- Dry roast sesame seeds, peanuts, and coconut separately. Cool down completely. Set aside.
METHOD:
- Take a mixer grinder first add sesame seed. Give it a 2-3 pulses.
- Add peanuts, coconut, rice(optional). Grind for two minutes.
- Add powdered jaggery and grind till oil is released.
- Take it in a wide plate. Make it into medium size laddus. Let it dry to 1 hour.
- Store it in a air tight container and Enjoy!!!
Tips:
- For this recipe always use black sesame only. There’s another recipe for white sesame seeds which I’ll share soon.
- Use good quality Jaggery. I prefer dark brown jaggery instead of white jaggery.
- Be careful while grinding the mixer gets heated quickly because of oil. Grind in batches.
- Don’t take this laddu if you are complaining with heavy bleeding. Limit only one laddu per day.
