Ingredients:

Drumstick Leaves(Moringa Leaves)-2 big bunches

Onion-1 medium size

Pigeon Peas(Tuvar Daal)-½cup

Oil-4Tbsp

Mustard Seeds-½tsp

Cumin Seeds-½tsp

Chana daal-1Tbsp

Urad daal-1Tbsp

Dry red chillies-3

Curry leaves-2 strands

Turmeric-½tsp

Red chilli powder-2tsp

Salt-a/c taste

Desiccated coconut powder-2Tbsp

Preparations:

  • Wash moringa leaves thoroughly and drain the water completely.
  • Chop the onions into small cubes. set aside.
  • Boil the pigeon peas(Tuvar daal). Remember donot over cook the daal.

METHOD:

  1. Heat oil in a wok add mustard, cumin seeds, dry red chillies, urad & chana dal, curry leaves fry for 1min.
  2. Add chopped onions fry till translucent.
  3. Add washed and drained Drumstick Leaves mix well and fry for 1minute.
  4. Add turmeric and salt mix well, add little water and close the lid, cook for 5minutes.
  5. Open lid add cooked pigeon peas(tuvardal) red chilli powder, mix well.
  6. Add desiccated coconut powder, mix it and simmer for a minute. Serve hot.
  7. Enjoy with Rice, Rasam, pickle and papad.
